The Events and Brand Engagement function is a centre of excellence for communications messaging and engagement, approaches, coordination and delivery of events and leads how strategic influence.
Providing a professional shared service to all functions, projects, programmes, services, workstreams, and people, to support delivery of the National Digital Strategy and the services strategic ambitions.
How we support Policing
Coordinate and manage external facing online, hybrid, and face-to-face events hosted or co-hosted by PDS.
Publish an internal and stakeholder facing calendar of events and engagement opportunities.
Delivery of key events on behalf of policing and our stakeholders including the NPCC Innovation and Digital Summit.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify and facilitate brand partnership opportunities across PDS platforms.
- Work with the supplier community to ensure the police technology community can engage effectively.
The Police Digital Service host and produce dozens of Wednesday Webinars each year which help policing and our stakeholders to understand the work being delivered enabled by the national digital strategy to improve the effectiveness of policing using technology and digital approaches.
The webinars are held at midday on a Wednesday and are open to all stakeholders to join live. Details are available on the website. Recordings of the webinars are available anytime via our YouTube channel.
Looking Ahead to 2026
The Police Digital Service Events team is currently securing the venue and dates for the 2026 NPCC Innovation and Digital Summit.
We are also planning a number of smaller focused engagement events which will bring together key leaders to discuss specific themes within the national digital and innovation strategies, alongside coordinating with other events across the sector to ensure engagement opportunities are coordinated and deliver more value for policing and our communities.
