Solutions Catalogue
The Solutions Catalogue was originally developed as part of the National Enabling Programme’s Enabling Centre, as a means of uncovering some of the innovative Power Apps developed by forces and partners and bringing them together in one place.
The Solutions Catalogue originally launched in February 2021 to share these initial apps across forces, along with a number of solutions developed by the programme as National Use Cases.
The Solutions are already compatible with most forces’ designs, helping to save valuable developer time and effort. By providing ready-built solutions that we know are in demand in policing the Solutions Catalogue also helps to remove the financial barriers to development faced by forces without access to Power Apps development tools.
The PDS website gives basic level information about the apps which is easy to find, but full details and downloads are only available after requesting access; this is limited to those with police.uk email addresses to ensure the integrity of the Solutions.
There are now 34 solutions in the catalogue with over 1,500 guests from all forces able to download and deploy them.
Just one of the Solutions available is the Burglary Investigation PowerApp; this particular app pulls together information and question sets to aid frontline officers investigating burglaries. It provides a structured list of questions to ask victims and the ability to upload pertinent photos and to email victims and landlords with information to help them in the aftermath of this invasive crime. You can watch our recent webinar on the Solution, including a demonstration of the app, on our YouTube channel.
Other solutions include:
- Hotspot Policing, allowing officers to self-brief, deploy and record outputs from defined and pre-loaded patrol hotspots.
- MARAC referrals and briefings, to streamline and improve management of MARAC cases.
- My CJ app, which helps frontline officers to select and complete the correct CJ paperwork, helping reduce reworking and corrections to files.
- Partner Messaging, allowing strategic partners in community policing to be quickly updated on critical or serious incidents via a simple interface.
