Tony Blaker QPM announced as Interim Director of Delivery Services

Tony Blaker QPM has been announced as Interim Director of Delivery Services for the Police Digital Service (PDS).  

Tony joined PDS as Senior Responsible Owner in 2021, leading on Criminal Justice Transformation including work on Serious Sexual Offences, Digital Case File, Video Enabled Policing and Digital Forensics. 

Prior to his role with PDS Tony had a distinguished career in policing which spanned more than 30 years, retiring as Deputy Chief Constable of Kent Police in April 2021. For his distinguished career, Tony was awarded the meritus Queen’s Police Medal (QPM).  

Tony commented: “It’s an interesting time for policing and PDS is at the forefront of digital and transformational change, working closely with suppliers, policing and partners across the country to identify the right opportunities and tools to aid officers in their roles.  

“I’m pleased to be bringing the benefit of the knowledge I’ve gained during a long career in Policing to the role of Interim Director of Delivery Services and continuing to innovate and deliver for policing and for the communities they serve.”
