The National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) Innovation and Digital Summit 2025 was the standout event in the digital policing calendar. Delivered by the Police Digital Service (PDS), this flagship engagement brought together leaders and innovators to shape the future of policing through technology.
The summit was hosted on behalf of:
- Chief Constable Rob Carden, Chair of the NPCC Digital, Data and Technology Coordination Committee
- Chief Constable Jeremy Vaughan, Chair of the NPCC Science and Innovation Coordination Committee
This landmark event set the stage for meaningful debate, collaboration, and action across policing and the technology sector.
The NPCC Innovation and Digital Summit 2025 brought together over 800 delegates, including senior leaders from policing and the technology sector, for a dynamic programme of debate and collaboration. Key themes included innovation, artificial intelligence (AI), cyber security, and policing reform.
The event featured:
- Inspiring keynote addresses from sector leaders
- Interactive panel discussions and workshops on digital policing, technology adoption, and cross-sector collaboration
Feedback from attendees clearly demonstrated that the summit is driving real change. Delegates reported taking specific actions to improve how digital, data, and technology support policing, and confirmed that the event strengthened collaboration between policing and technology suppliers.
Looking Ahead to 2026
The Police Digital Service Events team is currently securing the venue and dates for the 2026 NPCC Innovation and Digital Summit.
We are also planning a number of smaller focused engagement events which will bring together key leaders to discuss specific themes within the national digital and innovation strategies, alongside coordinating with other events across the sector to ensure engagement opportunities are coordinated and deliver more value for policing and our communities.
