Supporting UK policing to attract the best digital talent
PDS has created a UK Police IT Vacancies portal a single, easy‑to‑use place where people can view some of the most important digital and technology jobs across UK policing.
The portal supports delivery of the National Policing Digital Strategy, which PDS helps coordinate on behalf of UK policing and the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC).
The new service includes:
- A public web portal hosted on the Police Digital Service website
- A carefully selected range of key digital, data and technology roles from police forces across the UK
- Clear links from each job advert to the relevant force’s recruitment website for applications and more information
The portal is aimed at people considering a career in police IT or digital roles. It shows opportunities both within PDS and across the wider policing community.
Important to note
- The Police Digital Service does not recruit or select candidates
- All applications and enquiries are managed by the advertising force using their own recruitment processes
Launching with a flagship role
The portal launches with the Chief Digital and Information Officer vacancy at Wiltshire Police.
In recent months, PDS has worked closely with Wiltshire Police to support its digital and technology ambitions. PDS is pleased to support recruitment for this senior leadership role, which will be central to the force’s future transformation.
Selected roles will also be promoted through the Police Digital Service LinkedIn channel. The channel has a strong following across policing, digital and technology communities. This targeted promotion helps ensure vacancies reach experienced digital leaders and specialists.
