It is aimed at people considering a career in police IT or digital roles, while also helping forces and policing organisations attract talent and improve visibility of roles. The portal shows opportunities both within PDS and across the wider policing community.

The UK Police IT vacancies portal is not a recruitment agency or a centralised hiring service. PDS does not recruit or select candidates. Decisions about roles, timelines and appointments remain with individual forces and organisations, who continue to manage their own recruitment process. 

 

How it works

Police forces and policing organisations submit digital and IT vacancies to be listed on the portal. Vacancies are then showcased on PDS website and LinkedIn channel. Candidates can explore current opportunities and apply directly through existing force recruitment routes.

The portal is maintained by PDS to ensure it remains relevant, accessible and aligned with policing priorities. This targeted promotion helps ensure vacancies reach experienced digital leaders and specialists.
