Police Digital Service Delivers Largest Ever NPCC Innovation and Digital Summit
More than 950 delegates from policing, government and technology organisations gathered in Liverpool for the largest NPCC Innovation and Digital Summit ever held, underlining the growing importance of digital innovation in helping policing respond to current and future challenges.
Delivered by the Police Digital Service at the Liverpool Experience Campus, the three-day event brought together leaders, practitioners and experts from across the public and private sectors to explore how technology, data and innovation can support a safer, more effective and efficient policing service.
With 67% of attendees representing public sector organisations and law enforcement agencies, the summit provided an opportunity for policing professionals to share best practice, learn from emerging developments and discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the sector.
The programme featured 124 different speakers delivering a range of keynote presentations, panel discussions and interactive sessions covering topics including digital transformation, artificial intelligence, data and technology leadership, cyber resilience and innovation across policing. The summit event was made possible through the support of 87 sponsors and exhibitors.
A highlight of the summit was the annual NPCC Innovation and Digital Awards, held at Liverpool’s historic St George’s Hall. The awards celebrated individuals, teams and organisations that are delivering outstanding innovation and digital transformation across UK policing. Details of this year’s winners are available on the NPCC website.
David Bailey, Head of Communications and Events at the Police Digital Service, said:
“The NPCC Innovation and Digital Summit continues to grow because there is a real appetite across policing to share ideas, learn from one another and explore how technology can help improve public services. Bringing together leaders, practitioners and industry partners in one place creates valuable conversations and connections that can drive positive change across policing.“We’re incredibly grateful to our sponsors, exhibitors, speakers and colleagues from across the sector whose support helped make this year’s event such a success.“Early feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with delegates highlighting the quality of the programme, networking opportunities and the chance to hear from experts working at the forefront of digital and operational transformation.”
Feedback from attendees and sponsors has praised the scale and quality of the event, as well as the opportunity to build new partnerships and share learning across organisational boundaries. The record attendance reflects the increasing role that digital innovation and technology play in supporting modern policing and delivering better outcomes for the public.
The Police Digital Service is proud to deliver the summit on behalf of UK policing and to support the collaboration, innovation and knowledge-sharing that will help shape the future of the service.
