Wednesday Webinar: Hear how in 72 hrs Belgian Police created a PowerApp to combat fraud
The PDS Wednesday Webinars have had an international following for some time, and we have built a relationship with police in Belgium over the last couple of years as police in both countries have been adopting modern core cloud-based technology, particularly the implementation of Microsoft 365.
In this week’s webinar we have invited Superintendent Tim De Vos and Process Manager Gunter Van De Wiele, who have both regularly tuned into the webinars and are self-proclaimed fans of the ‘PDS’ to share how using the same technology as we have in UK policing produced a working app in a matter of hours which immediately helped front line officers stop fraudulent transactions from local citizens bank accounts.
Tim and Gunter will share how the idea turned into a reality and how they have continued to develop and improve the approach to the position it’s now in where it’s the basis of an international approach preventing crime and helping investigators track incidents and helping to being offenders to justice.
The basic technologies being used in both the UK via the Microsoft 365 blueprint and the approach adopted in Belgium, and we have regularly featured in our webinars how empowered and engaged UK police forces have embraced the opportunities to use the modern connected core technologies now available to policing to make a real difference in addressing harm and enabling our officers and staff through digital.
