The transformation enabled by the National Enabling Programmes (NEP) and the delivery of the Microsoft 365 platform into policing was always just the start of the digital enabling journey for forces.
The NEP successfully closed as a programme at the end of March and since then the Business Engagement Team have continued to support and encourage forces to continue to rollout the modern and connected capabilities which enable our officers and staff to work more effectively and help them address harm.
The Identity Access Management (IAM) and National Management Centre (NMC) elements of the NEP, alongside the shared common blueprints are increasingly the basis for delivery of other national programmes, including Video Enabled Policing which is already making a difference in the pathfinder forces.
As we all know the technology doesn’t stand sit, so it’s vital that forces are able to support the evergreen designs and implementation standards, which will enable them to continually develop innovative ways of maximising the potential of their existing investments in Microsoft 365, IAM and the NMC
So, it’s increasingly important that we share with forces the different approaches to maintaining the capabilities. In this week’s Wednesday Webinar, we will share the learning from across forces on the different approaches being taken and suggest ways and signpost to support for forces.
This will be the first of a series of webinars over coming months where we will return to BAU and dive into specific areas ranging from communications and training to designs and information assurance.
